A character created by one of the four worthy players who took on the Lasers and Motorcycles scenario, Thursday August 25th at FanExpo 2011.
A summary of the events in the scenario/issue is here.
The Hacker was the perfect foil for the villain of the scenario.
The Hacker
Identity: Hannah
Accuracy: 3- hone in
Mobility: 2- away!
Toughness: 2- not the face!
Might:
Brains: 4- $#@%! their tech, 3- stalking
Senses: 5- interface with tech
Superpower finesse: 4- manipulate tech
Weakness: distracted by fancy technology
Strainpoints: 6
Lifepoints: 6
Relations: 2- The new shiny!, 1- Crocheting, 1- Ducks
Description of Talents:
Interface with Tech (5- senses): The Hacker is instinctually capable of interacting with high tech devices and information without requiring any sort of display, nor does Hannah need any sort of tactile devices in order to manipulate Technology. She "tells" it what to do an it listens.
Hone In (3- accuracy): This directly relates to The Hacker’s ability to Interface with Tech. This talent allows her to notice and manipulate technology at a distance of 150m (500ft). Physical barriers prove no obstacle.
$#@%! Their Tech (4- brains): Hannah is extremely skilled in messing up other peoples technology. This talent causes things to jam, malfunction, short-circuit etc. Against high-tech gadgets $#@%! Their Tech is rolled against the rating of the device, or the talent of the builder. In cases where part of the device is very simple, such as a sonic grenade will a basic pin, the device should only have a single die defence. (The exact defence is entirely at the GMs disgression). It can also be used to directly damage robots, or persons who are mostly cybernetic.
Stalking (3- brains): This is The Hacker’s base ability to find out particular information about a person or matter of interest. It can be also be used to find relevant video camera surveillance of a particular area and other similar tasks.
Away! (2- mobility): The Hacker is particularly fast at running away from trouble. This talent can also be used to run towards something.
Not the Face! (2- toughness): The Hacker looks particularly unthreatening, so much so that people have a hard time hitting her with full force and when they do hit her, they tend to miss vulnerable points.
Background and Personality:
Appearance:
creator- Hannah
Universe/Scenario: Lasers and Motorcycles
Group:
Orientation: hero
Role: controller of technology and information
