The second scenario I ran at FanExpo 2011 was Friday afternoon and had a higher level of intrigue, and was a little more tense. The players dug pretty deep and came up with some great characters. Saving InnocenceI was really pleased with this Scenario/Issue, it had a good balance of Role-Playing, combat, intrigue/story complication and a satisfying ending. The confusion was part of the fun of the scenario, but I think I could have done a slightly better job laying out the facts. I'm going to keep most of the details of this scenario underwraps as I'm going to be running it again (with a few minor tweaks) at Phantasm in two weeks, and I might well give it another round at HammerCon III in November. Safe to say that the Heroes rescued Alice Tomkins, came into conflict with three distinct groups of metahumans and solved the mystery. It will be interesting to see how the scenario differs with different characters, powers, and players. I'll definetly revisit it in the aftermath. The Heroes: Protector (real name: John Casey) - a martial art master driven far from home and constantly hunted by his adversaries Afterburn (real name: Drace Williams) - a speedster with the ability to breath fire. SilverCrown (real name: Craig Crowns jr.) - able to predict out-comes given certain factors. (Think wall-street expert X16) Slide (real name: Greg Sims) - The original scenario description: The Emerald Hawk and Displacer have kidnapped a 13year old girl, Alice Tomkins. Can the heroes save her and figure out what the villains are really after?
